Maybelline Rosy Mattes Swatches

These are definitely rosy but i don't get why they call them matte because they are definitely not. They are more of a creamy to sheer finish. I haven't tried them on myself yet but i got a couple that I'll try on in the next few days. I got my fingers crossed on this one. Wish me luck.

Review: Maybelline Rosy Matte in Salmon Pink

via Instagram http://ift.tt/1XjIAhv The Rosy Matte series is described in the maybelline website as a line of vivid shades with a creamy formula that provides full coverage and a matte finish. Honestly, I'm underwhelmed. Out of all the product's claims, the only one i found accurate was the creaminess of the formula. The rest were overstatements. I didn't find this pigmented enough to be called vivid. The coverage is also more aptly called sheer than full. It was difficult to apply this evenly. It kept leaving patchy spots all over the place even after several swipes. I got so frustrated that I think i broke the tube. Also, this is evidently not matte. Maybelline is a great brand. There are superb products in its roster. Sadly, there are unimpressive products as well like this one. Fortunately, if you fancy a nude pink lipstick, you won't have to look far.
