Essence is Excellent. Their mascaras, blushes and translucent powder are better than or at par with high-end products 10x the price. Now, add these eyeshadows to that list. These are pigmented and blend easily and smoothly and they cost 150 PESOS! Well, originally they cost a whopping (haha) 249 pesos but it was the SM sale so they were almost 100 pesos off. My lipstick was on sale too. It's L'Oréal Nymphea and it was only 200 PESOS. 😆

Review: Maybelline Rosy Matte in Salmon Pink

via Instagram http://ift.tt/1XjIAhv The Rosy Matte series is described in the maybelline website as a line of vivid shades with a creamy formula that provides full coverage and a matte finish. Honestly, I'm underwhelmed. Out of all the product's claims, the only one i found accurate was the creaminess of the formula. The rest were overstatements. I didn't find this pigmented enough to be called vivid. The coverage is also more aptly called sheer than full. It was difficult to apply this evenly. It kept leaving patchy spots all over the place even after several swipes. I got so frustrated that I think i broke the tube. Also, this is evidently not matte. Maybelline is a great brand. There are superb products in its roster. Sadly, there are unimpressive products as well like this one. Fortunately, if you fancy a nude pink lipstick, you won't have to look far. You don't have to venture outside the maybelline store because they have perfectly lovely shades like Warm...
