Liquid Lipstick Love ft. Jeffrey Star Cosmetics The Wrap Up

This is the culmination of Lipstick Love Series ft. @jeffreestarcosmetics . Admittedly, this was a very limited engagement but i thought it best to start this series off with my smallest albeit newest liquid lipstick collection. Let me start off the review by saying that the hype about @jeffreestar lip products is well deserved. These three are among the best if not the very best liquid lipsticks I've ever owned. They are pigmented, have gorgeous shades and are incredibly comfortable. My lips did not feel like the Sahara with these babies. The wand applicator is worthy of note as well because of its unique shape that makes it so easy to follow the contours of my lips. Not once did i need a lip liner. That said, i did have a problem with the lightest shade, #jeffreestarmannequin . Freshly applied, it was the most beautiful pinky nude lip. I thought, this will be my new favorite nude lip. Once it dried though it settled into my lip lines quite visibly. That was disappointing. This could be remedied by applying a coat of nude lip gloss on top as i did after i took the picture above but it was still disappointing. After that experience, I braced myself for further disappointment with the next two shades. Thank the makeup gods that was not the case at all with #jeffreestarrosematter and #jeffreestarunicornblood . These two did not crack or settle into lines. They even layered well upon retouching. My lips did not look or feel bone dry even after 6 hours of wear. All in all, if you're a liquid lip addict like me, definitely check out Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks. JSC is only available in the U.S. through the #jeffreestarcosmetics website or through @beautylish . However, you can buy or order through resellers in the Philippines. Prices tend to vary but i recommend @nicolettemakeup because her pricing is competitive.

Brush Review. The MAC 221 Mini Tapered Blending Brush. It's described in the MAC website as a shadow-blending brush used for application and blending of powders. I've vacillated between getting this brush and a flat shader brush because I thought it might be redundant with my 224. It isn't. It applies shadows in a more precise and targeted manner than my 224. Simply, the track of color it leaves behind is thinner and smaller so if you want to do more detailed work, this is a must-have. This is also velvety soft. No scratchiness at all, unlike the 224. The way I use this brush, I apply my crease color, which is usually dark or medium brown, blend it out a little using a window wiping motion. After, I use my 224 to apply my transition color, usually a light brown or tan, at the top part of my crease and blend that out a little as well using the same side to side motion. I gotta say, this is one of my best brush purchases due to the uniqueness of its utility and how gosh-darn soft it is. Good news, this was a limited edition brush but is now permanent. Bad news, during my vacillating period, I've noticed that MAC stores only have 1 or 2 of this brush in stock so if this becomes more popular it might be difficult to find.
