Unboxed: The Make Up For Ever Cult Brush Set. This set includes 5 short-handled brushes with full brush heads, namely, the 106S foundation brush, the 152W blush brush, the 226S eyeshadow brush, the 270S slanted brow brush and the 260S eyeliner brush. Those who've always wanted full-sized brushes with shorter handles (so the handles don't hit the mirror while they're applying makeup on themselves) this is your answered prayer. Every holiday season, like me, lots of people who want to save a few or several pesos check out the brush set offerings of our favorite makeup brands. Every year, the brush sets are comprised of cheaper and smaller versions of the brands bestselling brushes. What most people (who aren't really into makeup brushes) don't know is the reason these brush sets are cheaper is because they are often inferior in terms of craftsmanship or materials or both and you can feel it too. They're usually scratchier than the regular brushes and sometimes shed more. This MUFE set is an exception to that rule. If they are made differently or with inferior materials compared to their regular sized counterparts, I cannot tell because they're as soft and, seemingly, as well-made as the latter. I even compared the individual brush set pieces with the counterparts in the store and, apart from the handles, I did not see or feel any difference. Go to your nearest Make Up For Ever store and see for yourself. #makeup #makeupaddict #makeupforever #twitter #holiday #brushes #brushset #makeupforeverofficial #beautyjunkie #makeupbrushes #blogger #unboxed

Brush Review. The MAC 221 Mini Tapered Blending Brush. It's described in the MAC website as a shadow-blending brush used for application and blending of powders. I've vacillated between getting this brush and a flat shader brush because I thought it might be redundant with my 224. It isn't. It applies shadows in a more precise and targeted manner than my 224. Simply, the track of color it leaves behind is thinner and smaller so if you want to do more detailed work, this is a must-have. This is also velvety soft. No scratchiness at all, unlike the 224. The way I use this brush, I apply my crease color, which is usually dark or medium brown, blend it out a little using a window wiping motion. After, I use my 224 to apply my transition color, usually a light brown or tan, at the top part of my crease and blend that out a little as well using the same side to side motion. I gotta say, this is one of my best brush purchases due to the uniqueness of its utility and how gosh-darn soft it is. Good news, this was a limited edition brush but is now permanent. Bad news, during my vacillating period, I've noticed that MAC stores only have 1 or 2 of this brush in stock so if this becomes more popular it might be difficult to find.
